Gearbox Software are hard at work on
Aliens: Colonial Marines, and they have been very vocal in their support for the Wii U, saying the Wii U version will be the best-looking version of them all. They are very excited about the potential of the console's new controller to provide unique and innovative gameplay not possible on the other platforms. The company has released a new trailer for the game, which unveils the new "Escape Mode," a multiplayer mode which pits four human soldiers against four aliens.
Colonial Marines takes place after the events of Alien 3, and 20th Century Fox has confirmed that it will be considered part of the official canon. In other words, it is effectively a sequel to Aliens 3. The release date for the Wii U version has not been announced yet, but the, Xbox 360, PS3, and PC versions will be launching on Feb. 12th, 2013. You can check out the new trailer after the break.
