Retro City Rampage available on WiiWare
Since the Wii U is backwards compatible with Wii software, here's something our readers should know: Retro City Rampage is now available on WiiWare. The game was developed by Vblank Interactive and was inspired by the original Grand Theft Auto. Developer Vblank Entertainment has quite a sense of humor and included all sorts of parodies and references to classic video games of the 80's and 90's. The WiiWare version features ROM City Rampage, which is essentially a version of the game that plays out as if it were an actual NES title. You can download it from the Wii Shop for 1000 Nintendo points.
You can check out the game's detail page on the Big N's official site via the following link:

Club Nintendo offering WiiWare game ThruSpace for 150 coins - Video Review by CGR
Club Nintendo is currently offering the WiiWare title ThruSpace for just 150 coins. The object of the game is to rotate moving puzzle pieces so that they pass through holes in walls, sort of like a 3D version of Tetris (a comparison that many gamers have made). It features a variety of game modes and has online leaderboards so you can see how your skills stack up against everyone else. The offer is good "until December 9, 2012."
Most critics gave it a score of about 7 out of ten, and you can check out some of their reviews here on Metacritic. While a 7 is certainly a respectable score, some gamers consider that a little low. If you're still on the fence about the game, you can watch The Classic Game Room's video review after the break.

Club Nintendo offering Art Style: Rotozoa for 100 coins
Right now, Club Nintendo is offering the WiiWare game Art Style: Rotozoa for just 100 coins. IGN gave it an 8.0 out of 10, and other gaming outlets gave it good scores as well. For those of you who are getting a Wii U at launch, you should know that the offer expires on 11/25, one week after the North American launch of the Wii U. If you don't want to hassle with doing a Wii to Wii U transfer, you could wait a while longer and download it right to your new console. Of course, if you don't think you'll be getting a Wii U for quite some time, you can always download it to your Wii right now and transfer it later. You can check out the offer via the link below. Trailer after the break.

Wii, Virtual Console and WiiWare games aren't playable on GamePad
![]() |
| Not possible. |
The Wii U console can play Wii games, Virtual Console games, and WiiWare games, but Nintendo of America has confirmed in an interview that they cannot be played on the GamePad's screen. It appears the idea of using the fancy controller as a portable Wii was nothing but a dream. Kind of a shame really, and many gamers are voicing their discontent. Here's hoping Nintendo may release a firmware update that makes it possible in the future.
