Wii U makes Toys R Us top 50 list, mainstream media makes gamers facepalm

Someone please make this available on a console... soon!

In an article from the Associated Press dated 9/22/2012, Mae Anderson cites the Wii U as one of Toys R Us' top 50 toys on its 2012 Holiday Hot Toy List but later in the same article states, "Wii U by Nintendo, not yet priced: Nintendo's new two-screen gaming console." You can see the Toys R Us list by clicking here

Considering the whole world is sold out of Wii U preorders (which were priced at $299 and $349 and would hardly be called a two-screen gaming console), you have to feel a bit sorry for anyone relying on this story for help in fulfilling their Christmas shopping list.

Will video games ever get the respect they deserve from the mainstream media or will they always be the Rodney Dangerfields of the entertainment industry?

Do gamers even care what the mainstream media says?

You can read the original article by clicking here (at least the information about Furby was correctly reported).
