Wii U version of Scribblenauts Unlimited allows for more objects, better graphics, unique controls

Canyon level in Scribblenauts Unlimited

Nintendo World Report recently interviewed Brittany Aubert of developer 5th Cell about the upcoming game Scribblenauts Unlimited, and as the site puts it, the Wii U version "is doing away with the budget thermometer, meaning that players don't have to deal with any apparent restrictions on the amount of items in the environment." This means gamers will be able to add tons of objects to each level, taking the series to a whole new level of interactivity.

The Wii U's power is also allowing the development team to seriously upgrade the visuals. "We’re able to have high resolution, hand-drawn environments," Aubert told NWR. "All of our object art is now vector art, so we don’t lose visual quality when we scale objects."

In addition to better graphics, the Wii U GamePad has more functions that the DS, which will allow players to switch between touch and button control schemes at any time. No doubt about it, the upcoming Wii U entry sounds like it's going to be the best entry in the series. Scribblenauts Unlimited has been confirmed as a launch title, and will be available the same day as Nintendo's new console. Object Editor trailer after the break.
