Last month, anti-Japanese demonstrators set fire to a Mitsumi Electronics factory in China which was said to be producing parts for the Wii U. Now, analyst David Gibson of Australian bank Macquarie has issued a statement via Twitter which estimates the arson attack will reduce the supply of Wii U units by 1 million.

Gibson: "Nintendo - we downgraded WiiU units by 1m to 7.3m as production is impacted by fire at assembler, company to revise down outlook Oct 24"
