A shoot-em-up for Wii U owners.

Nano Assault Neo is a shoot 'em up that was announced at Nintendo's press conference in New York. It is scheduled for release on the Wii U eShop in November, but we still don't have an exact date. Here's a quick summary of what we know so far:

-Not a port of the 3DS version, but it is set in the same universe
-There will be a 2 player mode, along with some new game modes and a new scoring system.
-It will use an energy system instead of one hit deaths
-Players can buy new items in between levels with credits they've earned
-The Nintendo Network will be used for online rankings.
-It can be played solely on the GamePad.
-It is scheduled for release sometime in November.

A new trailer has been released by developer Shin'en, which should give you a pretty good idea of what the game has to offer. You can see it, along with the original trailer, after the break.
