The developer of Xenoblade Chronicles is working on a major title, but will it make its way stateside?

In an interview with Kotaku, Nintendo of America president Reggie-Fils Aime expressed his interest in the unannounced Wii U title that developer Monolith Soft is working on. He hasn't actually seen it yet but he said that Nintendo could publish the title in the U.S. if gamers show enough interest in it.

Reggie: “We know that they’re working on a game. I personally haven’t seen it, but I know there’s a lot of excitement in Japan and Kyoto about what they’re working on, so I look forward to seeing it. In the end, if it’s a game that we decide to publish from… what would be a second-party standpoint, certainly we’d love to bring it here to the US. The way we look at the opportunity is, given a level of marketing support, how much are we gonna sell and is it gonna be a profitable venture?”

  1. Yeah I guess Reggie got the hard fact of jrpg selling well in the US let's just hope it goes smoothly since operation rainfall showed enough proof that N gamers held their word and bought a lot of copies.

    1. Yeah. Here's hoping Nintendo has learned a few things over the past couple years.
