Capcom interested in making new games for Wii U, not porting old ones
So far, the only Capcom game announced for the Wii U is Monster Hunter 3 Ultimate, which is already available for purchase in Japan. Senior VP Christian Svensson has stated that there are more projects in the works but has not given any further details. It appears that whatever those projects may be, they will not be ports of older games. When one member of the Capcom-Unity forums asked if older games such as Resident Evil 6 or Lost Planet might find their way to Nintendo's new console, Svennson replied “With regard to WiiU, in general we’re looking forward, not back so late ports are generally not on the table.”
In another thread, when asked why there wasn't a Wii U version of Resident Evil 6 Svensson explained that when development of Resident Evil 6 began in 2008, Capcom wasn't even aware that the Wii U existed as it had not yet been revealed by Nintendo.
