A Hat In Time is an indie title currently in development for the PC and Mac. The game's developer, Jonas Kaerlav, a.k.a. Mecha the Slag, recently spoke to Nintendo Everything, telling the site that he believes it is "likely" the game will end up on the Wii U, specifically the eShop.

Without making any promises, I think it will be likely that the game ends up on the Wii U. I have been in touch with a publisher that is interested in putting it on that console, and I’d be more than interested in seeing that happen! -Jonas Kaerlav, Mecha the Slag

The game is an homage to N64 classics like Donkey Kong 64 and Banjo-Kazooie, and features cel-shaded graphics similar to The Legend of Zelda: The Wind Waker. The protagonist, simply known as “Hat Kid,” is armed with an umbrella which can be used in a number of ways, and players will guide her as she travels across the land trying to stop the evil "Moustache Girl." As the title implies, she will travel through time as well. When finished, the game is expected to have around 5 hours of gameplay. You can check out some gameplay footage after the break.
