Giana Sisters: Twisted Dreams is a platformer that was developed by Black Forest Games and released on the PC in October 2012. The game received favorable reviews and console versions are in the works, with releases planned for the Xbox Live Arcade and PlayStation Network. Now, Black Forest Games have confirmed via Facebook that they are also planning on bringing it to the Wii U as well. When asked about the prospects of the title heading to Nintendo's platform, Black Forest Games replied:

Wii U is also planned, one step at a time!

Giana Sisters: Twisted Dreams is yet another game that owes its existence to Kickstarter. The campaign for the platformer easily met its goal of $150,000, ensuring that development could proceed. The series dates back to 1987 when The Great Giana Sisters was released on multiple platforms including the Amiga and Commodore 64. It borrowed heavily from Nintendo's own NES classic Super Mario Bros. and was pulled from shelves very quickly due to legal matters. A re-imagining titled Giana Sisters DS was released on Nintendo's handheld system in 2009, and Twisted Dreams is the direct sequel.

Black Forest Games has not provided any sort of timetable for when the game may arrive on the Wii U eShop.
You can find the launch trailer for the PC version after the break.
