Shovel Knight reaches Kickstarter goal, stretch goals added
Shovel Knight, the first title from indie developer Yacht Club Games, has reached its Kickstarter goal of $75,000. The retro-style game is coming to the Wii U and 3DS as an eShop title. A few stretch goals have been added to inspire more people to invest in the platformer. If the campaign raises $100,000, a New Game+ mode will be added, and there is the possibility of a four-player battle mode if they manage to raise $200,000. If they receive more than $200,000, the studio promises to deliver "More Mystery Stuff!!!"
The game was featured at this year's PAX East and received a lot of praise from attendees. Many have compared it to the classic NES games DuckTales and Zelda II: The Adventure of Link. For those of you haven't seen it yet, you can watch the reveal trailer after the break.
