The Big N has announced there will be a special Nintendo Direct tomorrow, September 4th, which will focus on Bayonetta 2. The presentation will reveal new details on the Wii U exclusive, which is scheduled for release in Japan on the twentieth of this month, and in the US on October 24th. The European release is simply listed as October 2014.
As you may recall, the original game will be released alongside the upcoming sequel, allowing fans to play both titles on the same console, which is great news for those who missed out. The titular star of the Bayonetta games is a witch who uses melee attacks, guns, and magic to fight angels and demons. Weapon customization is key, allowing players to equip various devices on Bayonetta's hands and feet.
The action-packed game is being developed by Platinum Games and will be published by Nintendo themselves. Sega employees are acting as advisors due to the fact that Sega published the original title and owns the rights to the franchise.
