Developer of Project CARS reveals Biker Bash

Slightly Mad Studios is currently hard at work on Project CARS, a racing game that aims to take realism to a whole new level. For those who prefer arcade-style racing, SMD's got you covered. The developer has just announced Biker Bash, an over-the-top racer similar to the classic Road Rash series. Coming in first is obviously the name of the game, but combat will play a huge role in the title. Straight from the official press release:

"BIKER BASH is a bike racing game that combines classic gameplay from titles like ROAD RASH/MOTORSTORM with modern fighting mechanics from STREETFIGHTER IV/FIGHT NIGHT and drags it kicking and screaming into the 21st Century with next-gen graphics, gameplay, and social features… all at a downloadable price point."

Screenshots feature everything from baseball bats to rocket launchers, and the famous phrase "Finish him!" appears in the game, an obvious nod to Mortal Kombat. Not only can you sabotage other racers, you can kill them as well, eliminating them completely. There will be 10 tracks set in various locations around the world, and there will be plenty of weapons and power ups in each one. Winning races gives you cash to upgrade your bike, and there will be an online mode as well, which will more than likely be the main attraction. The press release has a ton of information about the game, if you would like to read it yourself, you can do so by clicking the link below.
