In a recent episode of Invisible Walls, Shane Satterfield of GameTrailers claims that inside sources have told him the price of the Wii U will be $299 at launch. Wii U Daily also claims to have some sources of their own that reportedly told them the same back in February. Estimates place the manufacturing costs of the new console at $180, so it appears Nintendo will make a healthy profit on each unit sold, even when you take into consideration the additional costs of packaging and shipping. CVG has a number of sources claiming it will go for around 250 American dollars/British pounds, and Amazon has been listing the console for different prices on a number of their regional sites. Long story short, no one knows what the system will cost. Another day, another rumor.
