EA has unveiled the box art for the Wii U version of Madden NFL 13. The cover athlete this year is none other than Calvin Johnson, wide receiver for the Detroit Lions. Gamers like to joke about the way many players who appear on the cover are subject to the "Madden curse" and get injured. I think it's all a bunch of nonsense. I mean really, football is a brutal sport. If you have guys who weigh more than 200 pounds slamming you into the ground, you're going to get hurt.
Anyway, EA has outlined some of the ways the game will make use of the GamePad's touchscreen, providing a unique experience only possible on the Wii U. Madden NFL 13 has been confirmed as a launch title.
