Pixel Entertainment confirms Starbeast for Wii U

Concept art for Starbeast, headed to the Wii U eShop

Pixel entertainment has written a brief letter to MyNintendoNews, confirming that their upcoming game Starbeast is, in fact, being developed for the Wii U. The letter reveals that the game has been in "slow development" since 2011, and was originally supposed to be a Wii title. Starbeast was put on hold while the developer shifted their focus to an unannounced 3DS game, but they have stated they will bring production "back to speed" when said 3DS game is finished. They also wrote we should "expect a formal announcement for Starbeast toward the end of this year." The 2.5D horizontal shooter is scheduled for a 2013 release. If you would like to know more about this title, check out the official Facebook page.
