Amazon's French website lists European Wii U price and release date

399 Euros, launching in Europe on 12/21. Subject to change (which it probably will).

The french branch of Amazon has listed the Wii U as having a price tag of 399 Euros, which is roughly $440 in American currency. The European launch date is given as December 21st, 2012, which is coincidentally the date many claim will mark "the end of the world," resulting in numerous jokes on the comment boards and forums of many gaming sites.

Many analysts and industry experts believe the system will be launched in mid to late November, but there have been rumors that the European launch will be delayed due to manufacturing issues with the GamePad. The listing is subject to change and I'm sure it will be changing after Nintendo's PR event on September 13th.
