Darksiders II can be played entirely on Wii U GamePad, includes first expansion pack

Fighting in Darksiders II
Crazy fighting in this game.

According to The Verge, a spokesperson for THQ revealed that the Wii U version of Darksiders II will include the first expansion pack, Argul's Tomb, along with all of the pre-order bonus content on disc. The extra material is said to be worth a good five hours. Their are also 2 DLC packs which will be available on the eShop after the Wii U launches.

Obviously, what sets the Wii U version apart from the other platforms is the GamePad. Players will be able to view the map as they play, dodge and jump with simple gestures, and access the huge inventory screens without pausing. They will also be able to play Darksiders 2 on the GamePad alone without the need for a TV. If you don't like motion controls, you should know that they are optional.

The game was released last month for the Xbox 360, PS3, and PC last month, receiving very good reviews. The title is expected to launch alongside the console on November 18th. Six videos after the break.
