The Wii version got very good reviews. |
Dragon Quest X was announced on September 5th, 2011, almost one year ago. The Wii version of the MMORPG was released exclusively in Japan on August 2nd of this year, but a Wii U version is in the works. Now, Square Enix has announced that they will reveal more details about the Wii U version at this year's Tokyo Games Show, which will take place from September 20th-23rd. The Wii version had a very positive reception in its homeland, receiving a 36 out of 40 from the venerable Famitsu. One reviewer said "it's very kind to people who aren't familiar with online RPGs, and the whole thing's designed to make it as fun and accessible as possible to work with other players and go off on adventures."
Square Enix is planning to make a beta of the Wii U version available for gamers to play around Valentine's Day of 2013, and according to producer Yosuke Saito, the game is "extremely beautiful." We'll be following this one. Be sure to check back during the Tokyo Games Show. If you like RPGs, especially the massively multiplayer online type, you should check out the trailer for the Wii version after the break.
