A French developer has posted a job listing for an unannounced RPG. Emily Rogers of NotEnoughShaders has translated it into rough English via Google Translate, and the details are quite interesting. The game is set in a medieval fantasy world and is in development for the "PC/ Mac/console." It is going to make use of "innovative peripherals (including Wii U)." Nintendo's new system is the only console mentioned in the listing, although it could be making its way to the Xbox 360 and PS3 as well. The developer's name is IS and it appears to be a startup, located in Montreuil, France. The team is said to be "mainly composed of veterans" with "an internationally recognized expertise in the field." According to the listing, details about the game will be released to the press "between October and December 2012."
The same developer has posted a similar job listing on Deviantart:
“We’re currently looking for freelances high poly 3D artists.
The project is a video game, an heroic fantasy RPG with higly detailled armors (~500 000 polys per character). It’s not for real time, rather for rendering, 3D printing and other things of the same kind.
It’s a big project with a big budget (several millions dollars), but also with a lot of work. Compensation will depend on quality and percentage of completion, from hundreds to thousands of dollars per character."
The game's creator is Mark Kruzic, who is working as a project manager at Earthlings Games. He recently managed the development of children's games for mobile platforms, and prior to that, he oversaw the development of another title called Water Tower. We'll keep you posted.
