Earlier we reported that analyst David Gibson had estimated Wii U production would be reduced by 1 million units due to a fire at a Mitsumi Electronics factory which was manufacturing parts for the console. Now Nintendo has responded in a statement to CVG, claiming that its shipping forecasts have not changed. The system is selling out everywhere, and Nintendo is surely trying their best to make sure they can keep up with consumer demand. We'll keep you posted.
