Indie developer Ackkstudios have announced that they are now a certified Wii U developer and will be bringing their upcoming 2D RPG Two Brothers to the Wii U eShop. It is scheduled for release sometime in 2013 and is also in development for the Xbox 360, PC, and OS X.
The title is designed to resemble a monochromatic Game Boy game, and features gameplay reminiscent of Secret of Mana and the 2D Legend of Zelda games. The player will take on the role of Roy Guarder as he sets out to discover a new color on Earth after having a near-death experience in which he catches a glimpse of an afterlife filled with color. I have watched the trailer and I must say it really reminds me of The Legend of Zelda: Link's Awakening, one of my favorite Game Boy games of all time. I'll be interested to see how Two Brothers turns out.
