Calum Bowen of Notion Games has announced that Nintendo has invited the indie developer to port their upcoming platformer Super Ubi Land to the Wii U eShop. They have also been told they can develop additional titles for both the Wii U and 3DS.

We have been in touch with Nintendo and have subsequently been invited to port Super Ubi Land to the Wii U eStore and develop any other games for both the Wii U and the Nintendo 3DS. Thanks to the incredible kindness of both AckkStudios & Emily Rogers who both helped tremendously, we are truly making our way forward in the industry! It’s a very exciting time! -Calum Bowen, Notion Games

While Notion Games really wants to port the game to the Wii U, they don't have a dev kit yet and are holding a fundraiser to purchase one. If you would like to take a look at their fundraising efforts and the rewards for investors, you can do so here.

Super Ubi Land is a 2D platformer which is currently in development for HTML5 and was reportedly inspired by Super Mario WorldKirby's Dreamland, and Donkey Kong Country. The game is about an alien named Ubi who crashes on Climate Island and attempts to escape from the evil Dr. Terrestrial who wants to capture him. It features 5 worlds made up of 35 levels, includes a number of bosses, and unlockable characters. You can watch the trailer for the HTML5 version after the break.
