Wii U GamePad may cost more than $140 to replace
A member of the NeoGAF forums says that he recently had to order a replacement Wii U GamePad after his original was lost while traveling, and he reports that he was charged over $150 for the new controller. The price includes the cost of the controller itself, sales tax, and shipping.
Nintendo has not yet begun distributing GamePads to retailers as standalone products due to the fact that no games currently support the use of two simultaneously.
