NinjaBee Studio have confirmed that they are bringing their game A World of Keflings to the Wii U. The title was released on the Xbox 360 back in December of 2010, and puts players in a fantasy world where they must help small human-like creatures build their kingdom. One of the most popular features is the ability to play online with other people in the same kingdom. The Xbox Live Arcade version allows players to use their avatars as their in-game characters, and it seems quite likely that the Wii U version will allow gamers to use their Miis in the same way.
Here's the official announcement, straight from the company's blog:
With the current generation of consoles coming to an end, we saw opportunities to bring what is perhaps our studio’s most well-loved game to many, many more players. With that said, we’re proud to announce that in addition to today’s release on Windows 8, A World of Keflings will be coming to the Wii U later this year.
Both of these new platforms offered us huge advantages and were ideal marketplaces for a light-hearted city-builder. Windows 8 gave us the chance to make the game mobile and add in very smooth, natural touch controls. The Wii U has allowed us to significantly enhance the game’s visuals and, with the Wii U GamePad, explore new ways to interact with the game and its characters.
A World of Keflings is the sequel to A Kingdom of Keflings, the first entry in the franchise. Trailer for the Xbox Live Arcade version after the break.
