Crysis 3 was released on the PC, PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 in February. Unfortunately, it wasn't released on the Wii U, but it wasn't for lack of trying. In in interview with Venture Beat, Crytek CEO Cevat Yerli revealed that the development team actually had it running on Nintendo's new console, and they were "very close to launching it.

We did have Crysis 3 running on the Wii U. We were very close to launching it.

In January, Yerli spoke about the lack of Crysis 3 on the Wii U. For those of you missed it, here's what he had to say:

“There is no Wii U version due to a lack of business drive between publisher EA and Nintendo.”

“There has been discussions between Nintendo and EA and Crytek, but the bottom line is that there is that there’s not enough business drive in it.”

“It’s a purely business decision. I’d love to see it on Wii U, but what I love to see and what gets done at the end of the day are two different things. Even so, I could initiate it but someone has to sell it, right?”
