A new trailer for Injustice: Gods Among Us has been released which reveals the "Blackest Night DLC" for the game. The pack features zombie versions of the playable characters and is adapted from the DC Comics miniseries of the same name. The content is currently available as a pre-order exclusive from Amazon's German store for the Xbox 360 and PS3. As you can see from the screenshot above, the Wii U version is noticeably absent in the announcement trailer.
This latest DLC reveal follows the announcement of the Red Son DLC which is a pre-order bonus available exclusively from GameStop in North America and Game in the UK. If you take a look at GameStop's pages for the game, you can see that the Wii U version is apparently not slated to receive that pack either.
Kevin Cassidy of Go Nintendo has reached out to Warner Bros. for comment and is now reporting that the company has stated there are no plans for DLC on the Wii U version of the game.
It's looking more and more likely that these special DLC bits aren't going to hit Wii U. We've asked Warner Bros. about this situation, but have yet to hear an answer back. We'll give you the full rundown as soon as we hear.Injustice: Gods Among Us is scheduled for release in North America on April 16th.
UPDATE - Warner's Twitter account has stated that there's no DLC plans at this time.
