Kung Fu Rabbit coming to Wii U eShop

Neko Entertainment, the company behind the Wii U eShop title Puddle, have announced their second game for the platform: Kung Fu Rabbit, a 2D platformer. Players will take on the role of the titular Rabbit, and will set out on a mission to rescue their bunny disciples who have been kidnapped by Universal Evil.

The sidescroller was originally developed by Cazap and Ctools, and was released on iOS and Android last year by publisher Bulkypix. Neko has picked up the game and are working to deliver a better experience than touch controls alone could ever provide. Players will be able to use the GamePad, Wii U Pro Controller, Wii Remote, or Classic Controller.

Here's a brief description from Neko themselves:

Life in the temple of rabbits hangs by a thread. Universal Evil has struck again and kidnapped all of your disciples. Only you managed to escape. They let you live… They'll soon regret it!

Use your agility and combat skills to save your disciples! Jump from roof to roof, slide gracefully along walls, sneak up on your enemies, and rip them to shreds!

Detailed graphics, humour, hours of gameplay and intuitive controls. Each of the 80 levels requires logic, precision, agility and Kung Fu Rabbit mastery.

Kill the Evil and save the babies, eat the carrots and unlock trophies!

  • 80 levels in normal and hard mode (dozen hours of play!)
  • 15 unlockable items to customize your rabbit.

Kung Fu Rabbit is said to be in "the final stages of Nintendo's submission process," and Neko believes it will be released on the Wii U eShop in mid-April. Trailer after the break.
