While speaking at the Game Developers Conference, Miiverse producer Kiyoshi Mizuki said that Nintendo's new social network application will be accessible on smartphones and PCs sometime before May.
A 3DS version is also in development, and will arrive at sometime in the future. No specific timeframe was given for its arrival, but we do know that certain 3DS games and apps won't be compatible with Miiverse when it arrives on the handheld.
The Miiverse app will provide basic functionality, allowing users to post comments, draw images, and interact with the various communities on the network.
Nintendo has been asking game developers what they would like to see in relation to the updated Miiverse API.
