Nintendo has announced Super Mario 3D World for the Wii U, with a release scheduled for December. The game features the same gameplay found in the 3DS hit Super Mario 3D Land and features four-player co-op.
Mario, Luigi, Peach and Toad are all playable, each of whom has the same abilities they had in Super Mario Bros. 2 - Mario is a well-rounded character, Luigi can jump really high, Peach can hover when jumping, and Toad can run faster than everyone else.
There will be at least one new suit for Mario in the form of the cat suit. When dressed as a feline, players can scratch enemies with their claws and climb walls. Trailer after the break.
