Wii U version of Dragon Quest X has tentative release date for Spring 2013

It's received some upgrades, but will it remain exclusive to Japan?
The creator of the  Dragon Quest series, Yuuji Horii, told attendees of the Tokyo Game Show they are hoping to get the Wii U version of Dragon Quest X released sometime in Spring in 2013.

The Wii version of the MMORPG was released exclusively in Japan on August 2nd of this year, but a Wii U version is in the works. Square Enix gave a demonstration of the Wii U version at the Tokyo Games Show, and revealed a few details about the upgrades it's received over its Wii predecessor. The graphics have been enhanced and are now HD, and the number of characters that can be on screen has been greatly increased. Also, it can be played entirely on the GamePad if a gamer so desires, and players can switch between the GamePad and TV via the menu. Graphics and control style aside, the content is essentially the same as the Wii version, and players can actually use the same account they've been using all along. For those of you who missed it, you can see the video demonstration after the break.
