UK getting second wave of Wii U stock in mid-December
The Wii U launches in Europe on November 30th but the system is already selling out. According to UK retailer GAME, a second wave of Wii U consoles will arrive in the United Kingdom in mid-December. This page on their website currently says "Black Wii U Premium Console - arriving December, guaranteed for Christmas." It does have a disclaimer that says "Please be aware this preorder does not guarantee a Wii U for launch. The second wave of Wii U stock will be arriving mid December."
GAME's claim of a second shipment is backed by ASDA, which says more Wii U units will be delivered "between 30th November and 15th December."
Nintendo has stated that "stock levels will be tight on day one," but the company also said they will be "providing retailers with regular stock deliveries in the run-up to Christmas in order to meet demand as quickly as possible."
