In an interview with Nintendo Life, Mikael Haveri of Frozenbyte praised the Wii U eShop and said his company is pleased with the strong sales of Trine 2: Director's Cut. He also hinted that his team might have more in the works for Nintendo's console in the near future.

“Everything is going great so far, but we are really looking forward to being a part of the community in the future to see it grow. [The Wii U] “looks excellent so far, [though] these things are really long terms plans and anything could happen when the competition arrives”

"We are very interested in working on it [the Wii U] again. Who knows, but if everything goes well maybe even sooner than many might suspect.” -Mikael Haveri

Trine 2: Director's Cut has received great reviews and is currently the best-selling title on the Wii U eShop.
