When it comes to Nintendo consoles, the first-party titles are always the main attraction, and that's certainly the case with the Wii U at E3 this year. However, the new system does have a few triple-A third-party games coming its way. One of those titles is Batman: Akrham Origins, a prequel to the first two games in the Arkham series, and Warner Bros. has been showing if off at the annual expo.

The game takes place on a cold winter night in which a number of well-known villains show up in Gotham City and try to kill the Dark Knight for a substantial reward. The official E3 trailer features the first gameplay footage and introduces a number of the characters. In addition, we get to hear the new voices of Batman and the Joker as Kevin Conroy and Mark Hamill are not reprising their roles. Video after the break.
