Pilotwings coming to Wii U Virtual Console on July 4th

Nintendo has revealed that the SNES launch title Pilotwings is coming to the North American Wii U Virtual Console on July 4th. According to the official detail page, the classic flight simulator will be priced at $7.99. Those who purchased it on the Wii Virtual Console can upgrade for just $1.50, allowing them to play solely on the GamePad along with all of the other standard features of the re-releases.

As you may already know, the game allows players to fly a variety of different aircraft including a light plane, hang glider and rocket belt. There is also plenty of sky diving as well.
