The 3DS version is looking good. |
According to the latest issue of Famitsu, the Wii U version of Monster Hunter 3 Ultimate will support 1080p, as well as Linear PCM 5.1 Surround Sound. The publication also confirmed that the title will have online multiplayer, and says the GamePad's touchscreen will be used to perform functions just the like the 3DS version of the game.
A few weeks ago, Ryozo Tsujimoto, the producer of Monster Hunter 3 Ultimate, explained to Eurogamer how the Wii U and 3DS versions of the game will interact with each other. As previously revealed, players will need to download a special app onto their 3DS in order to transfer save data between the handheld and the Wii U, allowing players to play the game at home or on the go.
Tsujimoto: “We wanted people to play together. We know there are some people who want to play online. Unfortunately with the 3DS version you can’t do that. But we have made this feature so you can play together. You can have your friends bring their save data to your house and have a Monster Hunter party. One person will play on the big screen and three other people will play with their 3DS versions. People can continue their save data from what they had before and go back home and update their data on their Wii U.”
