Today, Nintendo published their latest financial results, which covers April - December of 2012. The Big N reports that the Wii U has sold 3.06 million units globally. Their original goal was to have 5.5 million units sold by the end of March, but they have now revised that number down to 4 million.
As for software, 11.6 million Wii U games have been sold, and the company has a target of 16 million by the end of March. That number was reduced from the original goal of 24 million. The best-selling game for the system is Nintendo Land with 2.33 million copies sold.
