Rovio has announced that the extremely popular Angry Birds Trilogy will be released on the Wii and Wii U on August 13th. The compilation includes the original game along with Angry Birds Seasons and Angry Birds Rio, plus some extra content. The Wii U version will feature Off-TV Play and can be played with touchscreen controls, much like the mobile versions.

Here's the official description:

Completely recreated in striking HD with refined controls, gamers can play Angry Birds Trilogy with all-new animations and interactive backgrounds through 700+ levels with more than 150 hours of addictive gameplay. Angry Birds Trilogy: Anger Management, the recently released DLC pack, features even more content with 130 fan-favourite puzzles like Wreck the Halls and Birdday Party.

According to publisher Activision, the Xbox 360, PS3, and 3DS versions which were released late last year had sold more than 1 million units by February 2013. Trailer after the break.
