Anonymous source claims Wii U will be $200, launch on Nov. 18th

Wii U console and GamePad controller
MSRP: ???

Zelda Informer, a fansite for everything Zelda-related, has reported that an "inside source" who attended the recent GameStop conference has told them the price and release date of the Wii U were disclosed at said meeting. According to this source, the console will launch on November 18th with a price tag of $200. Nintendo has said that gamers "will be surprised" by the launch price and a MSRP of $200 would definitely surprise everyone.

Then again, a $200 price tag would make the console competitively priced against Microsoft and Sony's current generation systems, so I'm not going to completely rule it out, even though Zelda Informer isn't exactly a "credible" source. In their article, they even admit to having a somewhat dubious reputation, acknowledging the fact that many gamers jokingly refer to the site as "Rumor Informer." Either way, we'll find out for sure on September 13th, and then we can finally put these guessing games to rest.
