You'll need Wii Remote Plus to fully enjoy Nintendo Land

Wii Remote with MotionPlus attachment and Wii Remote Plus
You'll need one or the other.

Marc Franklin, Nintendo of America's Director of Public Relations, has confirmed that the normal Wii Remote can't be used to play some of the mini-games in the Wii U launch title Nintendo Land. You will need to have either the Wii Remote Plus or a normal Wii Remote with the MotionPlus attachment. We already knew this was the case as it has been widely reported that Metroid Blast required the advanced motion-sensing technology.
