Marc Franklin, Nintendo of America's Director of Public Relations, has confirmed that the normal Wii Remote can't be used to play some of the mini-games in the Wii U launch title Nintendo Land. You will need to have either the Wii Remote Plus or a normal Wii Remote with the MotionPlus attachment. We already knew this was the case as it has been widely reported that Metroid Blast required the advanced motion-sensing technology.
