The Wii U version of Toki Tori 2 will feature the Tokidex, which allows players to use the GamePad's screen as a camera to take pictures of creatures and objects in the game's world. The title can also be played entirely on the GamePad, without the need for a TV, and includes a level editor which lets players create their own levels. The game is scheduled for release sometime in the first quarter of 2013.
We haven't heard a whole lot about the sidescroller lately, but some new gameplay footage has surfaced. The video shows 6 and a half minutes of gameplay footage, revealing a few of the enemies and puzzles players will face in the early stages of the game. You can watch it after the break.
