Runner 2 finished, submitted to Nintendo

Gaijin Games have confirmed that their Wii U eShop title Runner 2: Future Legend of Rhythm Alien is finished and has been submitted to Nintendo. The team explained that they delayed it due to the discovery of "a bug we absolutely couldn't ship with." They have reported that the bug has been fixed and the game was "uploaded to Nintendo with confidence." A release date will be given after the Big N approves it for distribution.

Runner 2 is a follow up to Bit.Trip Runner which hit WiiWare back in 2010 and, as you can see, the graphics have a distinct new style which sets it apart from the other games in the Bit.Trip series. It was originally known as Bit.Trip Runner 2 but Gaijin Games renamed it during development.

The staff of GameXplain recently spent some time with the quirky platformer and put together a video which shows a good deal of footage. While the video plays, the guys discuss the gameplay and talk about how it fits into the Bit.Trip series. You can watch it, along with a short trailer, after the break.
