The Kickstarter for Road Redemption has reached its Kickstarter goal of $160,000. Indie developer DarkSeas Games says the Road Rash-inspired racer is scheduled for release on the PC, Mac, and Linux in August 2014 with a Wii U port "following a few months after."
The official description promises "state-of-the-industry combat controls, insane crashes, destructible environments, AI, ragdoll physics, and online multiplayer." There are four mission types planned, along with a multitude of various weapons for players to use against their rivals.
DarkSeas Games consists of former staff members from well-known developers who worked on some very high-profile games, including Star Wars: The Old Republic, Epic Mickey and The God of War series.
