Walmart taking Wii U pre-orders via layaway reservations

Available for pre-order at Walmart while supplies last.

According to Nintendo World Report, Walmart stores across the country have started taking pre-orders for the Wii U Deluxe Set via layaway reservations. Customers are required to pay at least 10% of the final price up-front (including sales tax), along with a $5 fee to reserve the console. The $5 fee is refunded when the purchase is complete.

The console will be available for pickup at 12:01 AM on November 18th, the North American launch date. Customers are required to present a driver's license or photo ID to open the layaway account.
