Europe getting 60Hz version of Punch-Out!! on Wii U Virtual Console

The promotional pricing for the Wii U Virtual Console version of F-Zero is coming to an end, but that means another game will be available for just €0.30/£0.30/$.030 for 30 days. This month's featured title is Punch-Out!! featuring Mr. Dream, which will be available starting Wednesday, March 20th.

In a press release, Nintendo has confirmed that Europe will be getting a version based on the NTSC release of the game, which means it will be running in 60Hz rather than 50Hz like the slower PAL version. There was quite a backlash when it was revealed that Nintendo had given Europeans the PAL Balloon Fight again, and the Big N seems to have gotten the message. This release is based on the US-NTSC version of the game running at 60Hz.
