Flying Squirrel Mario can cling to objects in New Super Mario Bros. U

Mario will battle a lot of familiar faces.

TheGamerAccess attended last weekend's PAX Prime event and they managed to get a short interview with Nintendo PR specialist Krysta Yang. I don't know how many of you watched last year's E3 demo, but Ms. Yang was the one who got to show off the unique functions of the GamePad. Anyway, there isn't much new info in this video, but apparently Mario's Squirrel Suit will give him the ability to cling to the sides of objects, something that I hadn't heard before.

You can see Mario battling many familiar enemies in this video, and readers of the latest issue of Game Informer have reported that Cheep Cheeps, Piranha Plants, and Monty Moles will be returning in NSMBU based on screenshots in the magazine. This game is shaping up nicely.

Ms. Yang also gives a brief summary of the game's Boost Mode which allows one player to stun enemies and create blocks to aid (or hinder) other players. Video after the break.
